I had already founded a successful communications company in the Bay Area. And because of my vast experience with startups, I was certain that I had gone through most of the trials, tribulations, and joys of growing a new business. When Dr. Denis Marcellin-Little and I embarked on the Animal Rehabilitation and Wellness Hospital, it was not yet clear that we would need someone with strong practice management experience. When our newly founded rehabilitation clinic grew from infancy to childhood in less than one year, it became clear that we were in real need for implementation of systems and documentation.
